An "Equity Round" in venture capital is the process of selling shares of the company to raise capital.
These rounds often come with catchy labels like Series A, Series B, etc., with each subsequent round typically featuring a higher valuation and increased scrutiny on the part of investors.
Founders trade equity for capital, which can fuel growth, but it also dilutes their ownership.
